Regan Martin is an inspiration to all of us! Please show your support and attend hearing on Monday, November 17, 2008 in Will County

I am asked daily by many people; "Alexis what can I really do to help make a difference in the life of a victim of crime- I am only an average person?".. You can do a lot - remember its the simple things that matter most to victims of crime.

Because Regan Martin chose to courageously share her story she has inspired millions of men and women across the nation to become involved and to help make a difference!

If you read Regan Martin's story in the Chicago Tribune today and wondered what you could do to help here are some suggestions.

1. Come out and support Regan and her family at trial on Monday, November 17, 2008 in Will County. The hearing is scheduled for Mon Nov 17, 2008 at 9:30AM in Room 405, Will County Judge Richard Schoenstedt will be presiding. Please attend to show your support for Regan Martin and her family! You can make a difference!

2.) Send in letters to the editor to the Chicago Tribune thanking them for reporting this story as without reporters like Megan Twohey victims like Regan Martin remain invisible and become "just another case" or another piece of paper for prosecutors and judges to process! Send in your letter to the editor of the Chicago Tribune today thanking them for supporting domestic violence victims and for supporting Regan Martin and her family - and ask your friends and relatives to do the same!

3) Donate! You can help to be sure that Regan Martin's children receive a quality education by donating to the family. Fighting for justice takes its toll on a victim and their family financially, physically and emotionally! Your donations will help to secure a quality education for the children which are our future!

One Person Can Make a Difference! My thoughts and prayers go out to Regan Martin and her family! You are not alone!
