No matter what the Supreme Court does tomorrow, Jan. 9, 2009, we have raised awareness in regards to the issue of workplace stalking. We can't let this issue go. As you may or may not know, another new article was just published about the case today, on Women's E-News, at http://www.womensenews.org/article.cfm/dyn/aid/3880.
It seems that there are new websites covering the case, or comments posted on them,
every few days. To all of my readers thank you! You have been a major force in getting the word out and obtaining support in regards to this case-your efforts have not been in vain.
If the Supreme Court doesn't fix this error of the lower courts, then we must keep the momentum going to get federal legislation passed to protect stalking victims
from being fired or otherwise discriminated against in the workplace.
People interested in seeing a model statute for what we need at the federal level should look at the New York City Human Rights statute, at www.nyc.gov/html/cchr/html/ch1.html.
If the courts do not grant a rehearing in regards to this case tomorrow and legislation is needed you can make a big difference by signing on in support of the federal legislative proposal. I will continue to keep you up to date on my blog and Attorney Dawn V. Martin's web site http://www.DVMartinLaw.com will be updated as well.
Together we can make a positive difference!

Every woman in America should be demanding that this case be heard - and that Dawn Martin achieves the justice she deserves. It is not only about Dawn, however - we are all equally vulnerable to sick individuals that stalk defenseless women.
I have not been stalked - but I've on a number of occasions been terrified by a threatening or mentally unbalanced male with whom I found myself alone. How much worse to be in that situation every minute of every day!
There is no excuse for not protecting women from this kind of harassment, certainly none for allowing it to threaten not just their freedom of movement, privacy, personal safety, but their jobs as well!
Yes, if the Supreme Court does not do the right thing, we should hound Congress until they do.
Blessings,
Liberty G
